What The Bible Says About Judging Others.

Time and Time again I hear this saying “Only God Can Judge” or people take from scripture “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” followed by many more verses. In this article Im going to go over what the bible is referring to and what the bible actually means. Before I go over what The bible says I want to make it VERY clear, We are ALL sinners and fall short of the glory of God, as christians our goal is too learn from our sins and use them to better ourselves in righteousness helping others see their sin and bring their eyes to God.

Let’s look at this verse from the KJV Bible “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Matthew 7:1-5 (THIS IS THE #1 VERSE USED TO PROVE A POINT OF NOT JUDGING)

This verse does not mean that we should never make judgments. This simply put is do not Judge in a hypocritical way, like I said before we are all sinners. He is telling us to take the log out of our own eye so that we can help the other person. We shouldn’t be habitually critical of someone when our own sin needs to be corrected as well.

Just as believers are not to condemn others, we are not to ignore sin. In a sense, this requires the act of judging others in a biblical way. It is important to know the difference between the judging mentioned in Matthew 7:2-5 and the righteous kind of judgment that comes with discernment. John 7:24 says, “Stop judging by mere appearances, but instead judge correctly.”

If a believer sees another believer sinning, he is instructed to confront the person in a respectful and loving way. Matthew 18:15-17 says, “If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.” (How could we possibly address someone else’s sin if we weren’t allowed to judge that it was a sin to begin with?)

The ultimate goal of confronting the person is to bring repentance. In this sense, we are called to judge sin always with the goal of repentance and reconciliation.

Here is some verses on judging that come from the bible.

The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments” –1 Corinthians 2:15

“Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.” –John 7:24

“Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.” –Proverbs 31:9

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” –1 John 4:1

It’s like watching someone run straight for a cliff. If you really care about the person, do you just sit back and bite your tongue? Do you say, “Well, I wouldn’t do it, but it’s not my job to judge?” Do you say, “Well, I know it’s wrong for me, but they should be allowed to decide what’s right for them?”

As Christians, we need to be discerning. We need to be able to take a stand and say “This is right” or “This is wrong.” We need to be able to make wise decisions and help our friends and family do the same. As Christians, we should judge, and we should judge wisely. Our Christianity, even our lives, depend on it.

How To Give Your Life To Christ & Become A Christian.

One of the biggest questions we get from our subscribers on youtube is how can I give my life to Christ? This is also the main focus of our channel which is helping others find Christ in a time where we really need him. The next question following that one is “is it easy'“? My answer is Yes! But the journey wont be. So what do I mean by that? I’m gonna go deeper into what I mean & give you a prayer that will help you accept Christ into your life, I’ll also be sharing with you what you need to do once you’ve made the decision to invite him into your life.

So Is it really easy to give my life to christ? Yes! Jesus died because he loved each and everyone of us. through His suffering, Jesus, God’s only Son, paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world, including yours and mine. Now I did say the Journey wouldn’t be easy, so what did I mean exactly? well.. Satan no longer has control of your life & you will be tempted. Satan doesn’t want you seeking God, he wants you to live in a world that gives you everything except the most important of all and thats a relationship with Christ. He wants you to go to hell and suffer with him for eternity. Now just because you will be tested doesn’t mean that God won’t be with you on your journey because remember you are his now. He wants to see how far you will go for him & how big your love is for your relationship with him.

Does becoming a Christian mean I have to be perfect? Am I Perfect? Jesus is the ONLY man to of walked the earth as perfect / without sin. When we become Christians its important to know you will make mistakes and fall down but as long as you repent (crying out to God) when you know you’ve done wrong and doing everything you can to live righteously than you will be forgiven. The greatest thing someone told me is we are all sinners but covered by the blood of the lamb (JESUS), we are to help other sinners come to Christ by showing them his light by living like him. Thats really what all of this is about, loving a perfect God who gave his one and only begotten son so you will not perish (go to hell). Jesus is reaching out his hands with love and comfort but are you ready to accept him?

Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead. (Here Is A Few Scriptures)

  • "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

  • "But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

  • "If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

The Prayer To Accept Christ Into Your Heart

“Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and you came from heaven to suffer and die on a cross for me. I believe that you rose from the dead and you are alive, and you are Lord of the universe. I confess that I have sinned against you and against people, now I turn away from my sins and I look to You. You paid the penalty of my sins by giving up your life for me. Now, I give my life to you, please live your life in Me. I pray that You and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, will come and live in me and I will live in You. I give my life to You to do Your will and not my will. Please give me the faith to believe all the promises that You have written to me in Your Word, the Holy Bible. Lord Jesus please baptize me in the Holy Spirit and fill me with your presence. Please give me the strength and the faith to accomplish the plans and the destiny that You have for me and give me the courage to be a witness for You. Please fill me with Your love and compassion for people so I can be like You, I pray all these things in Jesus name, Amen.”
